Who we are
Hi everyone! We are Heather & Jim Lykas, we have a 5yo daughter, a 1yo Boxer (Tillie) and an 11yo Olde English Bulldogge (Mather). We have been involved in animal rescue for the past 12 years and have always dreamed of having a business like this. Like many people, the pandemic impacted our employment and pushed us to really think about our goals and values and we decided this was the time to take the leap and open Mind Your Dog. We had originally started MYD as an online dog supply business about 6 years ago but struggled to focus on that as well as our full-time jobs. We now have this amazing opportunity to expand MYD and focus ALL our attention on it!
We are committed to creating a facility that provides exceptional training and care to all our pups. We know how hard it is to trust others to care for your animals and we want to create a space that you can bring your pups in for training, daycare, and boarding and trust that we will care for them as we would our own. We are so excited about our incredible space and the opportunity to be part of the Glocester community.
Thank you all for allowing us the opportunity to live out this dream. I truly can’t think of anything better than spending our days (& nights) taking care of pups! I’m not sure there’s anything better for the soul!
